First day of School

Its that time of year again...school! This year all three of my kids will be in school. Jordan started her first day of high school! She is doing awesome, she started a new school Lincoln Park Performing Arts Charter School. She is a music vocal major. Volleyball is keeping her busy, along with keeping her grades up and try to fit friends and family in. Welcome to high school :)

Brylee started kindergarten. She is loving it. The days are long, since she goes full day, but she is getting better as she goes. Her and Hunter love cheering on sissy during her volleyball games.

Hunter started Preschool this morning. He is going to the same school Brylee went to. The teachers are amazing, so I did better dropping him off knowing he was in great hands!

All the kids are growing up way too fast, so now I find myself at home with no kids for 5 1/2 hours a week. Not quite sure what I am doing with my time but I'm sure I will figure something out...like maybe keeping up on my blog better :)

Its been a while since we've taken a family picture. My sister came in this weekend and while she was here, we talked her into taking some pictures for us. Hunter was the not most cooperative, but I think they turned out pretty well.

Brylee had her preschool graduation last night. She did so well. Their program had skits, dance, and songs. She was a crack up. Josh waived to her in the begining so she knew were we were and she didn't stop. About everytime she sat down she would wave, or give a thumbs up. At one point she was trying to whisper someones name out in the audience to get their attention to say hi. Hopefully I can figure out how to down load a video. We had a really time and are proud of her :)

Jordan's 14th Birthday!

Jordan's birthday was May 5th. She turned 14...crazy how fast time goes. For her party she wanted friends to spend the night. She ended up having 4 girls spend the night. I took them up to the mall and had a photo scavenger hunt. I think they had more of a guy scavenger hunt than the list that I gave them. Regardless they all had a great time and got some fun pictures in the meantime.

Brylee's preschool class took a field trip to the Pittsburgh Zoo. There were 20 from her class that went plus parents. She had a her first bus ride. Brylee loves animals so had a blast checking them all out with her friends!

Jordan and I couple of weeks ago went to another Barlow girl and Stellar Kart concert. There was a micro burst that came thru in the early afternoon, so resulted in having no power for the concert. They ended up plugging in their acoustic set thru the bus, so they could still do the concert. We had a great time. Got to hang out with them a bit before and afterwards. They are very genuine women. If you ever get a chance to go to a show check them out!

Easter Sunday! I sang in the Easter Cantata Sunday morning. Hunter and Josh were sick so they had to stay home, but the girls and I went ahead and went. Here are a few pictures from the day!

So its been awhile since I've updated our blog. It has been a long winter! Since the last post, Hunter turned 3, Brylee had a Christmas program, my parents came out for Christmas, we have had more snow than I have seen in my life or would ever want to see again and lots of random pictures. Realized I didn't use my camera for a month, so I will try and do better to post pictures this spring and summer! So here is a bunch of pictures...Enjoy!!!

Our big snow storm. We got around 27 inches over night. Josh was stuck in WV, so it was up to Jordan and I to shovel the drive. Took pretty much all day.

Sunday we went and got our christmas tree with some friends. We took a hayride out to the trees and then once you cut it down they come by and pick you and your tree back up. Hunter was no enjoying the cold weather, but everyone else seemed to enjoy it.

The tree is up! Now if I can keep Izzy from running off with my tree skirt. I thought if I put some presents on it, it would keep it from moving...not so much now she gets a skirt and presents with one tug.

Here are a few pictures from the last week or so. Brylee had school pictures so there are some of her posing at home trying to get ready for them :) We also went to a dairy farm. The kids got to feed the baby cows a bottle...I think Josh enjoyed it the most :) Brylee had her Thanksgiving party. They sang us songs and then had a snack for us. Before we left for Thanksgiving we got to meet Barlow girl and hang out with them. We had a great time and are such solid girls! Thanksgiving pictures will come soon!

Today the weather was gorgeous, so I took the kids to the park for lunch, then went and had ice cream. Trying to enjoy as many beautiful weather days as we can before the snow comes. I love these days with my kids!

Jordan taught the kids how to role down the hill. Didn't get my camera in time to take a picture of her rolling down. We think Hunter is allergic to grass thru this...his eyes were all swollen and was itching everywhere when they were done. Lets hope he grows out of it by time he's old enough to mow :)

Halloween!

Halloween seemed to last forever this year. Maybe because we had too many parties the kids went to. Once it came time to actually trick or treat they could have cared less. Then all the trick or treaters came to the door and decided they wanted to go afterall. Needless to say we ended up with way too much candy. Here are a few pictures from the week.

We ended the week of festivities with movie night in the fort. I made a popcorn suprise with the halloween candy, chocolate peanut butter balls, and oreo truffles. The kids had fun!

We started out with 2 turkeys a few weeks ago. The kids named them Dora and Kilan....This morning there were 15 hens and this evening 4 toms. The kids are loving it. Looks like we won't have any problems having a turkey on our table for Thanksgiving this year :)

Brylee's preschool went on a fieldtrip today. I got to take her and Josh kept Hunter. We went to Hozak farm and they got to go on a hay ride, a hike, pumpkin patch, and a maze. She had a lot of fun. She was very timid around everybody which suprised me cause she is so energetic at home. But she really enjoys her teachers and playing with her friends. Here are a few pictures from the day!

Its been awhile since I've posted anything. We are in the new house getting settled and the kids have started school. I will try and get more pictures of the house up as soon as I take some. But here are some of the girls on their first day of school! Oh and I added one of Hunter and Brylee playing dress up...yes I am going to start buying some boy costumes after Halloween!

After a day of dress up and no nap, we found Hunter crashed out downstairs, so we had to take a picture. Definitely a well rounded boy!

Trip to Pennsylvania

A few pictures of the kids in the car. We have put over 16,000 miles on the van since April. Once we get in the new house, I don't think we are going anywhere for quite awhile.

On our way out to Pennsylvania we made a stop at Jordan and Sara's. We had a bon fire one night and roasted smores...so yummy!

While in Louisville we also got to see aunt Ashley.

MOVING...Again!

If life hasn't been crazy enough with a move to TX, it has become even more crazy. As I posted back in May we did move to TX. Just to confuse everyone even more, we are now moving to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Josh was given a great opportunity to move to PA, that we couldn't pass up. After praying about it and talking thru it together as a family, we decided to go ahead and take the transfer. We are now here looking for a house and checking out schools. God is definetly continuely teaching us to trust Him. I'm just trying to keep Him as my focus, for peace in this crazy time. Please keep us in prayer as we are getting settled again. Josh's first day will be August 17th, so we will be heading out here the week before. I will keep everyone posted as I know more.

For the 4th of July we headed to St. Louis for the weekend. Everyone came home, so it was a lot of fun seeing everyone. The kids had a great time. They play very well together.

Moved!!!

If you have been wondering why we haven't updated the post in a while is because, as most of you know, we have moved. If ya didn't know we moved to Texas in April. Josh was transferred here. We are settling in and really enjoying it down here. In our transition we are living in an apartment, so I haven't hooked up internet, which explains my lack of entries :) I can use Josh's work computer but am limited on what I can do on it, so no pictures :( Hopefully I will be able to get set up on a computer soon. We still have our same cell numbers if ya need to get ahold of us. We have learned about waiting and trusting God's time and not ours. We know He has the ultimate plan and just to wait patiently for His timing even if we don't understand it now. We will keep you all posted on when we get a house and I will definetly be posting pictures when we do. Hope everyone is doing well. Much love!

Christmas Day!

Christmas morning! Thankfully the kids slept in, so once they got up we let them open their stockings, then we read the Christmas story! Then grandpa, grandma and aunt Ashley came and we let them open their gifts. Hunter didn't have much to do with any of it. We had to open his gifts for him, but once they were opened he loved them. Brylee was on a mission she knew she had to get thru all of her gifts and she didn't change emotion thru any of them. Once they were opened then she went to them one at a time to play with them and had to have them out of the box before she went on to another one. Jordan was helpful and patient while the little ones tended to skip her turn in opening gifts, but was rewarded in the end when she was totally suprised by her last gift that we hid...a phone!!! She was shocked I thought her heart was gonna bust thru her chest. Too funny! I got a beautiful mothers ring from Josh and the kids. We had a great Christmas, but we're more thankful for the fact that everyone was healthy this year and we could be together.

After opening gifts, eating some of grandma's wonderful cinnamon rolls, and a good nap we went to grandma and grandpa's house for Christmas dinner. And got full all over again :)

Like I said Hunter was wound up this night. He was kissing on grandma, wrestling ashley...watch out!

Ok so how many years have we lived here in Wyoming now??? We have talked about going and cutting down our own tree every year and have never done it. So this year we finally decided to go and do it. We had such a great time. We went with some friends of ours the Brandts. We stopped at the Flaming Gorge Resort(i think) and had lunch in this cute log cabin looking place, they had horse and wagon rides going on. Then off up the mountain to find our tree. Thankfully there wasn't any snow so it wasn't too cold, just wind(I know big suprise in Wyoming :) Actually we were in Utah. Anyway, we are definetly going to do this again next year and the next.

Cowboys Against Cancer

Last night Josh and I went to the annual Cowboys Against Cancer Dinner. We had a great time. It is fun because we get to dress up a bit and go for a nice dinner. It is an awesome organization and they raise a lot money for cancer patients in Sweetwater county every year. Our night was cut short cause Hunter was throwing up. Thanks to grandma and Chrissy for taking care of the kids. I hope they don't end up getting anything that he had :(

We went over to the Rock Springs pumpkin patch. It was set up in an alley downtown, so needless to say not much of one, but the kids enjoyed picking out a pumpkin amongst the hay bales. So here are a few pictures from that.

Brylee started AWANAS this year. She loves that she has her own vest and bag. I am her Cubbies teacher(next year I will plan better not to be her teacher, I think it would work better). It has been so fun seeing her learn scriptures and singing songs to God. It is also fun to see all the other kids as well.

Need I say more. We got our first snow storm this weekend...yes, October 10!!! What else can you do but go out and enjoy it. And finally the kids are big enough to go out and enjoy it with us. Here are some pictures from this weekend. Hunter wouldn't get in the snow but he liked to look at it.

We went over to Grandma and Grandpa's and checked out grandpa's new four wheeler. Brylee had fun going on a drive, Hunter didn't make it out of the driveway :)

Even though it was cold we did enjoy ourselves and looking forward to getting the kids out again soon!

Jordans Volleyball Tourney

1st Place!!!

Jordan had a volleyball tournament acouple of weeks ago and we all got to go and support and cheer her on. It was a lot of fun. They ended up winning the tournament. We are all so proud of Jordan, she did great! We look forward to many more games.

Brylee turns 3 on the 18th. I can't believe how fast 3 years has gone. She is so energetic and full of love. We kept asking her if she wanted a swing set, but she insisted on a trampoline. So us and the grandparents pitched in and got her one(really it's something everyone can use :) She is really enjoying it. Here is some video of her jumping and doing a flip sissy taught her. Oh and Baby and Luke are the horses. And don't mind the lovely attire. That is a pink dance leotard, she insists on wearing it all the time :)

CALIFORNIA!!!! Here we come...oh wait Brylee has to go potty. That's right I packed a potty in the van, it helped not having to find a bathroom and by time everybody goes in, your looking at a 30 minute stop. I would suggest this to everyone :) Ok really though lets get going!

We had a barbecue at Aunt Connie and Skips Sunday for Becky and Jon's birthdays!

After barbecuing it was time to go in the hot tub. Hunter wasn't fond of the water so Papa was teaching him how to dance on the fire pit.

Underwood Farm

We spent one day at the farm. The kids had so much fun. Brylee and Jackson got to ride on the ponies. Brylee just wanted feed the pigs carrots, but the were sleeping. So her and Jord fed them to the horses and goats.

Beach Time Cousin Heather joined us for some time at the beach. Josh and the kids were having fun trying to catch crabs. Hunter thought he had caught one, it was a rock, but he was way excited.

Last September 11 we loss Josh's grandpa, so went out to see his tomb stone. He was an amazing teacher, so the school planted a tree in his memory outside of his classroom window. We love and miss him!

Mom and Dad's trip to Wyoming!!!

Last week my parent flew out to visit. They got to stay a week. It went by fast, but we really enjoyed having them here. Here are some pictures from their time here!
Josh's parents were in Missouri visiting Brandon and his family, so we stopped in their house to make sure everything was ok and their freezer and broke. So dad cleaned it out while kids played. Parker, the neighbors grandson came over to play with Hunter.

Everyone love going down to the horses. Jordan has taught Baby to give her a kiss on the cheek then hugs, so cute!

There's nothing like going on a drive and getting ice cream. Hunter knows when we pull into a drive thru that he is getting ice cream. He starts grunting and reaching for the window.

Josh took my dad out to the lake and caught some good size fish. Dad has been out here 3 times now and this is the first time he's been able to catch this good of fish, so he was thrilled.

Since they took a picture with their catch of the day, we thought we would take a picture with ours :) Mom and I got to spend the day getting a pedicure, lunch and some shopping(as much shopping as you can do here, not much) the best part of it was no kids!!! Wow I have a hard time functioning with out distractions. I had a great time with my mom, wish we could do it more often.

Brylee saw a fishing pole on tv a month ago and called grandpa and said "papa I wanna go fishin". So grandpa told her he would take her. So when he got here he went out and let her pick out her "own" pole and was planning on taking her to the river, but she was perfectly content with the pool. So her and grandpa went fishing a lot even if she kept catching the same rubber fish :) She loved it!

We spent the fourth of July at our church's Freedom Fest. When we first got their the wind was so bad it was blowing the kids chair across the parking lot, so the kids thought it was a game. It kept them occupied for a while. It was a lot of fun and looking forward to next year!

We had a fun Fathers Day barbecuing at grandma and grandpa's house and of course we went to the horse corals. Brylee had fun helping grandpa with the poop! Can't wait for Jordan to get here. She will be here this Sunday, I'm sure we will be heading straight to the horses when she gets here :)

Missouri Trip

A friend of mine was taking her kids to camp in Missouri recently and asked if we wanted to go with. Of course I wouldn't pass up the opportunity to go see my family. It was a quick trip, but was great to see everyone.

We got to stay the first night with Tracy and her family, wish we could have stayed longer!
Aunt Ashley made it up to St. Louis for a few days, so we had to hit up the water park. I think Grandpa was having more fun than the kids :)

We stayed in St. louis for a few days then headed to Springfield and Bolivar. There we got to see my brother and his family, sister and sister in law and nephew. So much fun!!! It made me really miss being around everyone.

Of course we turn our heads for 1 second and the girls were up to no good tatooing themselves :)

Our last stop was Kirksville. There we got to see Patricia from college and Trina and her family. It was so good to catch up with all of them!

After that we headed back home for a 17 hour car ride. The kids did great! I didn't spring back so quickly, my body was alittle sore for a few days...gotta love getting older :)

Josh had a work trip last month in Denver, so me and the kids went with. It worked out perfect because Jordan was on Spring break. We had a great time. Here are some pictures from the Childrens Museum, the Denver Zoo and of course swimming!

Ok so I figured this would be the easiest way for everyone to keep up on what's going on here. As most of you know we still live in Green River, WY. We bought a new house in September and am loving all the space we have now. We just celebrated Hunters first birthday acouple of weeks ago. It's crazy how fast they grow. We are so done with the snow and ready for some nice weather.
